Mariscal Abogados advises Tadiran Group and Volta Solar on their entry into the Spanish renewable energy market

Israeli companies Tadiran Group and Volta Solar have joined forces to expand their operations into the Spanish renewable energy sector through a long-term joint venture agreement. This strategic alliance is designed to leverage the technical expertise and industry know-how of both companies, enabling them to establish a solid and sustainable presence in Spain, with an initial focus on the solar self-consumption market.

The newly incorporated Spanish entity is already engaged in several industrial solar self-consumption projects, actively negotiating and structuring PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contracts. These agreements are essential for the development and delivery of advanced photovoltaic solutions to industrial and commercial clients.

Mariscal Abogados has provided comprehensive legal support throughout the companies’ establishment in Spain, including drafting and negotiating corporate agreements, designing the appropriate corporate structure, and implementing all required legal modifications under Spanish law. This work ensures that both Tadiran Group and Volta Solar hold the relevant interests in the Spanish entity created to conduct their operations in the country.

The advisory team comprised Irene TerrazasRuth Trullenque, and junior associate Guillermo Contreras, all of whom bring extensive experience in cross-border transactions and renewable energy projects.
